Francis accused of stealing over $12,000

COURT TODAY BLOCKChauntel Shakera Shari Francis went before the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court late this afternoon, to answer four charges related to stealing over $12,000 belonging to Camille Carter.

The accused, who is unemployed, lives at 2nd Avenue Alleyne Land, Bush Hall, St Michael. She pleaded not guilty.

The allegations against the 29-year-old are that last November 23 she stole $2,060. 85; on December 19, $3,385. 99; $6,093. 78 on January 20 this year and $1,436. 28 three days later, all belonging to the same complainant.

Magistrate Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant granted Francis $15,000 bail and adjourned the case until April 20. In the meantime, she must report to a police station once a week.

Attorney-at-law Reynold Kellman is representing the accused.
