Man charged with 19 counts of theft

Police are reporting a breakthrough in their investigations into a recent spate of thefts.

Shane Daniel Jeremiah Polin, 30, of Bartlett Tenantry, Sergeants Village, Christ Church has been arrested and formally charged with 19 counts of theft.

Lawmen said most of the offences occurred between August and December last year when unsuspected motorists were traveling on the road with their vehicle windows down in slow moving or stationary traffic in the areas of Pine Plantation, Rendezvous Hill/Hordes Road and Government Hill.

Polin is due to appear in court today.
