Trio granted bail
Accused in Chefette brawl returns to court in april
Two men and a woman appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court today, charged with using unlawful conduct on January 9, which was such that it caused other persons present to fear for their safety.
The charges arose out of an incident which took place over the weekend at the Black Rock branch of Chefette Restaurants.
Magistrate Douglas Frederick read the charge to each of the accused but security guard Gary Pedro Walters, 35, of Clevedale, Black Rock, St Michael, Renee Antonio Griffith, 40, of Bromefield No. 2 St Lucy and 41-year-old Charmaine Rosemary Moore, of Four Hill, St Peter, were not required to plead to the indictable offence.
They were each granted $5 000 bail and will return to court on April 18.
Walters was represented by attorney-at-law Dave Cumberbatch while the other two accused were unrepresented.
