Teen admits to stealing phone accessories from Woolworth
A pre-sentencing report was ordered for a teenaged girl who admitted to stealing cellular phone accessories from F.W. Woolworth and Company Barbados Limited yesterday.
Danielle Melissa Bolden, 18, of Taylors Road, Delamere Land, St Michael admitted to Magistrate Douglas Frederick that she stole two screen protectors and one USB cable with a total value of $80 when she appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court this morning.
In the absence of a probation officer, the Magistrate ordered the pre-sentencing report and set February 26, 2016 as the date for her return to court.
In giving details, police prosecutor Sergeant Martin Rock said Bolden entered the establishment on Prince William Street and went to the aisle where the cell phone accessories were sold.
She was observed by a security guard as she removed the items from the rack and placed them in her waist under her shirt.
Bolden then proceeded to the cashier and paid for a pair of shoes. However, she was apprehended as she tried to leave without paying for the other items.
Police were called in and she was arrested and charged.
