Brothers sent to jail for burglary
Arnold Alexandra Williams, 26, Arlond Elroy Atwell, 22, and Antonio Reneldo Dever Atwell, 19, all of Block 3J Culver Terrace, pleaded not guilty to burglarizing the home of Juliet Couse on November 5 this year and making off with $9 648. 80 in items belonging to her.
The items allegedly stolen by the three unemployed youths, include BD$1 600, US$400, and CAN$60 in cash, along with jewellery, wine, canned food and a bed sheet.
Sergeant Robert Jones, the police prosecutor, objected to bail for the trio, who went before Magistrate Wanda Blair at the Holetown Magistrates’ Court.
The prosecutor told the court that the allegation was a serious one. He also revealed that Arnold has similar antecedents, Arlond was currently on bail and probation while Antonio was also on bail.
The siblings return to that court on December 11.
