Painter remains on remand

COURT TODAY BLOCKA 26-year-old man continued on remand, after going before Justice Jacqueline Cornelius in High Court No yesterday and admitting that he had a gun and ammunition over two years ago.

Jerome Shannon Maycock, a painter, lives at Hinkson Gap, New Orleans, St Michael.

Crown Counsel Rhea Drakes outlined how police officers travelling along Bank Hall Road, St Michael on April 15, 2013, saw a man ride a motorcycle through a major stop.

The officers used their siren to stop Maycock and when they approached, he began fidgeting with his pants pocket. A search yielded an unlicensed gun and nine rounds of ammunition.

He returns to court on November 17 when his presentencing report should be presented.
