Missing man ‘safe’
sister receives call from richie luke
There were smiles in the Luke household in Parish Land, St Philip, yesterday after missing man Richie Luke, who had not been seen for eight days, called his sister Sharon Luke to say he was safe.
A team from Barbados TODAY visited his rural home this afternoon and asked his mother, Ermenthe Luke, to speak with him, but she said although he had spoken to his sister from a City location he is yet to turn up at his home.
His mother said Luke often stays away from home for three to four days when he gets paid, but she raised the alarm when he did not turn up after the usual time span.
The father of three was once employed at C O Williams Construction as a truck driver, but was unemployed when family members told lawmen that he had gone missing.
His mother told Barbados TODAY that she has been concerned about his physical health for some time because he often complains of headaches and she has suggested that he visited the polyclinic in Six Roads, St Philip, for a medical check-up.
Luke’s sister said she received a call from the police today and she informed them that her brother had called, however they said they cannot declare the case closed until the man turns up at the residence.
