Juveniles remanded

COURT TODAY BLOCKTwo teens charged with stealing a $600 chain belonging to Rico Forde on September 18 and causing him serious bodily harm, were both remanded by Magistrate Douglas Frederick today.

Renaldo Javin Joseph, 17, of #71 Husbands New Development, St. James will return to court on October 19. He was represented by attorney-at-law Wilfred Abrahams.

The 15-year-old, who is Joseph’s co-accused, faces another charge of assaulting a second person. He was remanded to the Government Industrial School until Friday, when he will attend Juvenile Court.

The prosecution objected to bail for Joseph on the following grounds: the complainant is in hospital in serious condition; Joseph is already on bail; the charges were serious; and the court ought to consider the protection of the accused from himself.
