UPDATE – Female employee remanded

Morivia Gittens has been remanded to HMP Dodds until October 2

Thirty-five year old Morivia Smantha Gittens of #5 Mills Apartment, Haynesville, St James, was remanded to HMP Dodds today until October 2, when she appeared before Magistrate Wayne Clarke in the #2 Criminal Court.
Gittens, who is an employee of A&C Security Services Ltd on Barbarees Hill, St Michael, is charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary on September 1, 2015.
In objecting to bail, prosecutor Sergeant Rudy Pilgrim said investigations were on-going and Gittens’ release may compromise the investigations.
In addition, Pilgrim argued that the crime bore the hallmarks of professionalism and that it must be taken into consideration that Gittens held a position of trust at the company.
During the robbery, four guns,  80 rounds of ammunition and two bulletproof vests were among the items taken. (NC)

I love the cavalier way the police escorts these nuts to Dodds. Casually strolling holding hands. I am lost for words right now. For all the highlights in the paper and the news about the need to curb gun violence, this stupid broad did what!!! Really I am speechless.

Agree Dianne Barker but one of these days one of these persons accuse gine put up a damm serious fight hope they prepared for that.

No need to worry about cavalier. I feel sure that broad could not /was not able to run anywhere.
What I am more concerned about is the attire. Even for a Saturday morning, I think she could have dressed more fitting a court appearance. A polo shirt bearing the Police crest and jeans would have been more appropriate.

Us bajans do give our BPF, guys a tough time some times, but they do a dam good job, ok we a small island, but crime is crime , but these silly criminals are always caught, or just simply ,hand themselves up. No Disclaimer as it is totally wrong to offer explanations for stupidity but do you know the difference between an arrest and a conviction?

She has been arrested and due to matters of interference or whatever the prosecution deems fit she has been remanded this does not mean she is guilty. Has she been on trial? I forgot the public has tried her on her looks, her weight, her color, where she lives etc. It is the police job to find concrete proof or a tangible audit trail to link the offence to the person they arrested or a snitch to identify her. Why has the seriousness of the offense shifted to her weight, cheffete and other nonsensical subjects as society’s idea of beauty is often either ‘white or light’ or skinny.

I pity you if you got caught up in this recklessness of gun crime as you will be an example if found guilty due to the level of gun violence that is occurring. Until then i wish you a good lawyer and a good defense. Innocent until proven guilty does not hold sway anymore. Political and judicial climate runs things.

Guns gone….nobody aint talking bout loaded firearms that milling them way bout communities. Those same guns will be used will be used to robb, maim, kill, violate, rape, intimidate, bully etc How can a security firm get guns stolen that is the most ridiculous thing i have heard. Dont they have precautions and safeguarding in place, trigger locks, safes, video cameras, digital entry etc. They in turn was slack with there security. Lucky that is all that was taken. should be charged with corporate manslaughter the day them firearms blow off somebody head……
