Morivia Gittens has been remanded to HMP Dodds until October 2
Thirty-five year old Morivia Smantha Gittens of #5 Mills Apartment, Haynesville, St James, was remanded to HMP Dodds today until October 2, when she appeared before Magistrate Wayne Clarke in the #2 Criminal Court.
Gittens, who is an employee of A&C Security Services Ltd on Barbarees Hill, St Michael, is charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary on September 1, 2015.
In objecting to bail, prosecutor Sergeant Rudy Pilgrim said investigations were on-going and Gittens’ release may compromise the investigations.
In addition, Pilgrim argued that the crime bore the hallmarks of professionalism and that it must be taken into consideration that Gittens held a position of trust at the company.
During the robbery, four guns, 80 rounds of ammunition and two bulletproof vests were among the items taken. (NC)
