Update – Police name accident victims

Police have released the names of the two women who lost their lives following an accident in St Philip.

They are — Michelle Gibson, 49, of Cave Hill, who was the front seat passenger in a car driven by Shanty Bowen, 38, of Airly Tenantry, Cave Hill.

Gibson died on the scene when Bowen’s car collided with a pickup driven by Jonathan Brewster, 35, of Sealy Hill, St John.

The back seat passenger, Candace Clarke, 37, succumbed to her injures at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.











Bowen received facial injuries, while Brewster was treated for shock.

The accident occurred at about 9 45 am at the junction of Tranquility Drive and Congo Road, St Philip.

Police investigations are continuing.
