Police investigating three shooting incidents

Police have launched investigations into three separate shooting incidents which occurred yesterday, including that of a police constable.

According to police public relations officer Acting Assistant Superintendent David Welch, a female police constable was shot and injured while at her residence around 9 p.m. She received a gunshot injury to her left leg and was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by ambulance, where she was treated and discharged.

He also revealed that a 14-year-old male was shot and injured while at his St. Michael residence. He received an injury to his left calf and was taken to the QEH by an ambulance, where he was treated and discharged. The wound appeared to be self-inflicted and a firearm was recovered by investigators.

The right person or persons in get shoot yet. I want one of those who think it’s unusual and inhumane to hang murderers to feel it. Cause it wasn’t inhumane or cruel when them took the victim’s life

I don’t have a problem with hanging. I have a problem with the police beating a confession out of someone and years later when we find out it was the wrong person we can’t bring them back.

@Antoinette, at least Dottin is not in charge now, it was him that locked up a guy for 2 rapes, and he didn’t match 1 comparison that the women described !

Again , I am calling for the PM to go on CBC and address the nation on the gun/crime situation in BIM. This is not a JOKE. The top cop came out and spoke and was “snob” by one Union boss and the heavy roller of the 2 other ports . The AG must support the POLICE.
May be the WOMEN’s GROUP who seems to have so much “clout” should address the PM, after all it is the WOMEN that losing their sons. The system has it like most FATHERS don’t seems to care.

Whatever happened to the “why” factor of these stories? What were the circumstances under which the shootings took place. Did the Police decline to give details? If so why is that not part of the story?

    • harry turnover August 31, 2015 at 8:03 am

      ….because they don’t have ALL the details,obviously.
