Two St Michael men shot

Police are searching for the gunmen who opened fire at a bar in the wee hours of this morning injuring two people.

A 21-year-old man is nursing a gunshot wound to the head, while a 48-year-old man was shot in the chest area during the attack.

According to Acting Assistant Superintendent David Welch, three armed men opened fire on a group of men who were at the Pump It Up Sports Bar in Fordes Road, St Michael around 12:45 a.m.

The two men who reside in Brittons Hill, St Michael, were transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.

Welch also said police had made a breakthrough in yesterday’s stabbing incident, which occurred at Bank Hall, St Michael.

He told Barbados Today a male suspect was currently in custody.

The victim has since been discharged from hospital, but police are not yet releasing his name.
