After getting off to a late start, they made their way from the various starting points including Queens Park, BIDC car park and Carlisle House.

They chipped along the route to some of the popular 2015 soca tunes, being led off by the band 1 Trini and a Bajan, and were swiftly followed by Galaxy Stars, Mojito, Scrawleratarians, Soca Chippers and Teaze.

One of the largest bands was Colorz which had three music trucks and an estimated 1,000 revellers.

Revellers appeared to have heeded the call from the Royal Barbados Police Force to keep the peace during this morning’s street party, as no incidents have been reported so far.
