Bajan U19s defeat Canada
A century by Leniko Boucher led Barbados to a 151-run victory over Canada in the sixth and penultimate round of the WICB Under-19 One-day Championship at Manchester High School in Jamaica today.
Set 273 to win, Canada were bowled out for 121 in 33.1 overs with Arslan Khan top-scoring with 43. Fast bowler Keon Harding was the leading wicket-taker with three for 30 off seven overs.
Chemar Holder took two for 19 off six overs, Khalil Herbert, two for 27 off five overs and Ian Boyce, two for 28 off seven overs.
Earlier Barbados scored 272 for four off 50 overs after winning the toss. Boucher made 101 that included 11 boundaries. His century came off 149 balls. His opening partner Lee-Germon Gaskin made 91 before being dismissed lbw and ending a partnership of 198. He faced 106 balls and struck eight fours.
Gaskin first got to his half-century off 64 balls with five fours, while Boucher’s took 104 deliveries and included six boundaries.
