This situation where we are loosing our young men and boys to either the gun or to jail should cause us to ponder as to the cause why young males are resorting to a life of crime, drugs and disruptive behavior.

There is need for serious intervention, in light of the fact, education is being subsidized by the State, creating easy accessibility to this vital tool.

Part of the problem is there is an absence of a proper role model in the formative years of the male. Hence, without sound guidance and direction, they find themselves associated with bad company. The results is what we are witnessing.

There are too many delinquent men out there ,who enjoys sexual pleasure, and relinquishes their responsibility after the birth of a child. This is a contributing factor. Family life has to be taken more serious, to prevent this unfortunate situation.

Walk tha city streets like a rat pack of tyrants
The black youth angry treated like a migrant…
Too many brothers daily heading for the penn
Then they coming’ out worse off than when they went in
Over tha years I done a lot of growin’ up
    Getten drunk throwing up
This is reality on rum island.
The youth need social programs under the existing cost of living, which is getting harder daily.
