Chris Gayle’s 105 from just 57 balls helped the Tallawahs to defeat the Red Steel

Chris Gayle blasted a century off just 57 balls to lead the Jamaica Tallawahs to a comprehensive 50-run victory over the Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel in the Hero Caribbean Premier League moments ago.

Playing at home, Gayle smashed the Red Steel bowling to all parts of the ground during his knock of 105, which contained nine huge sixes and six fours, to propel his team to a 180 for six from their 20 overs.

Krishmar Santokie then returned to claim three wickets to help restrict the Red Steel to just 130 for nine from their allotted 20 overs.

Santokie finished with figures of three for 27 from his four overs while Daniel Vettori and Jerome Taylor both supported with two wickets apiece.
