Trinidad – Trinidad rattled by another earthquake
PORT OF SPAIN – Trinidad was jolted by an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.9 on Tuesday night, but the Seismic Unit of the University of the West Indies (UWI) said there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
It said that the quake occurred at 6.06 pm (local time) and occurred on the Paria Peninsula, west of Trinidad.
The unit said that the quake, located at 10.62 degrees North, and 62.31 degrees West, was at a depth of 100 KM.
This is the second occasion earthquakes have rattled Trinidad within a two-week period. On June 25, the island recorded two quakes with magnitudes of 4.4 and 4.5 respectively.
