Road fatality on Spring Garden

One man is dead following a two-car smash-up, which occurred early this morning on the Spring Garden Highway.

Travon Cadogan, 27, of West Terrace, St James, died at the scene. He was a front seat passenger in the motor car driven by Machel Toppin, also 27, of Oxnards, St James.

Toppin suffered a fractured left leg and head injuries after his car collided with a vehicle driven by Shernell Smith, 42, of Mount Stanfast, St James. She complained of abdomen and chest pains, while her passenger, a 59-year-old female, whose name was not given by police, complained of pains about her body.

The injured were taken to the QEH by ambulance following the collision which occurred around 12:05 a.m. Friday.

    Oh dear ,who is next. And it goes on and on and on. at this rate ,most of the cars in Barbados , will be destroyed, and a chunk of the population dead.
    This is crazy , drastic measures needs to be put in place to stop this madness. or is it something will only be done when a sister or brother or close family member of a politician or the police is involve.
