Bajan Gems go down to Jamaica’s Sunshine Girls

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – The Sunshine Girls defeated Barbados Gems 66-31 in the third and final match, to sweep the Supreme Ventures Sunshine Series 3-0 at the GC Foster College for Physical Education and Sports in St Catherine on Sunday night.


Goal-shooter Jhaniele Fowler-Reid hit 28 goals from 32 attempts, while Anna-Kay Griffiths got 21 goals from 24 tries.

For Barbados, goal-shooter Shonica Wharton hit 21 goals from 25 attempts.

Both countries are preparing for the Netball World Cup to be held in Australia in August.
