Netball quarterfinals tomorrow

The quarterfinalists of the 2015 Pine Hill Dairy-sponsored National Sports Council’s Primary Schools Netball Tournament have been decided.

These matches will be played tomorrow at the Netball Stadium and will see Blackman and Gollop B matched against George Lamming; West Terrace taking on Wilkie Cumberbatch; Blackman and Gollop A playing All Saints Primary; and Grantley Prescod pitted against Ignatius Byer.

In action on the court today at the Netball Stadium, four of the quarterfinalists were in action with mixed results.

Grantley Prescod defeated All Saints Primary 7-4 with Donnelle Trotman leading the way with seven goals from 11 attempts. Nakara Bishop had four goals from seven attempts for All Saints.

Ignatius Byer defeated St Mary’s 4-2 but were then demolished 10-2 by West Terrace. Against St Mary’s Kristie Griffith had four goals from six attempts while Tamia Duke Woodal and Nazera Harewood had a goal each for their school.

Roshea Williams with six goals from seven attempts and Azariah Griffith, four from eight, led West Terrace’s dominant showing over Ignatius Byer for whom Griffith scored the two goals.

In other results Tesharra Holdipp had five goals from five attempts and Katrina Austin added two from two,as St Bernard’s defeated Deacons Primary for whom Shereena Mayers netted three goals from three attempts.
