Documents detail Jack Warner bribes

This document shows how the money was transferred to different accounts

A BBC investigation has seen evidence that details what happened to the $10m sent from FIFA to accounts controlled by former vice-president Jack Warner.

The money, sent on behalf of South Africa, was meant to be used for its Caribbean Diaspora Legacy programme.

But documents suggest Mr Warner used the payment for cash withdrawals, personal loans and to launder money.

The 72-year-old, who has been indicted by the US FBI for corruption, denies all claims of wrongdoing.

FIFA says it is co-operating with the investigation.

And South Africa’s Football Association has issued a statement denying any wrongdoing.

The papers seen by the BBC detail three wire transfers by FIFA.

In the three transactions – on 4 January, 1 February and 10 March 2008 – funds totalling $10m (£6.5m) from FIFA accounts were received into CONCACAF accounts controlled by Jack Warner.

At the time, he was in charge of the body, which governs football in North and Central America and the Caribbean.

The money had been promised by South Africa’s Football Association for its so-called Diaspora Legacy Programme to develop football in the Caribbean.

The documents reveal how the money was spent and moved around.

JTA Supermarkets, a large chain in Trinidad, received $4,860,000 from the accounts.

JTA Supermarkets received a large portion of the money

The money was paid in installments from January 2008 to March 2009. The largest payment was $1,350,000 paid in February 2008.

US prosecutors say the money was mostly paid back to Mr Warner in local currency.

We in the west are ruled by a class of looters and criminals. The entire US economy is centered on waste, exploitation, mindless consumerism, and war profiteering. This is fully supported by both political parties–the DEMOCRIPS and the REBLOODLICANS..

Washington should stop attempts to administer justice far beyond its borders under its statutory regulations, and to follow the generally acknowledged international-law procedures….
Yes!!!!…..especially when corruptions and ACCEPTING Money from foreign entities such as israeli LOBBY is the essential part of becoming American?Law makers!!….When they can NOT even get JUSTICE for THEIR OWN citizens such as african Americans etc…..American Hypocrisy has NO boundary!

@Patrick Blackman…..PROOF left, right and centre…at four corners and in the middle and you talking about distraction ??

@ harry turnover – Since you are not very well informed I will take pains again to enlighten you. This revelation about FIFA is nothing new, these accusations have been made for years. Even at the the time when Warner resigned there was significant talk about his arrest and long with the others.

This current fiasco did not materialized/reported until the Palestinian Authority petitioned FIFA for the life time ban of Israel from soccer. The PA had garnered significant support against Israel in this regard, so a decision was made to undermine the integrity of FIFA and that is why we have this distraction today.

With is nonsense going on now, the PA has had to withdraw its request for the removal of Israel from soccer as FIFA now has no credibility.

Now that is why its a distraction, may be you should take the time to listen to more than news from the USA…

@ Patrick Blackman. Since you are so well informed, this information about Jack was ONLY exposed THIS YEAR.

Yes ,there WAS talk back then about corruption, fraud and bribes ,THAT IS WHY JACK RESIGNED.and NOT because he was on the verge of being arrested or some conflict between Palestine and Israel

….and having been cornered AGAIN you revert to some rhetoric about FIFA and Palestine and Israel and some NONSENSE about life ban. That is FIFA,Palestine and Israel business.

If YOU would have taken the time to read more news from the USA you would have realized that the USA don’t care about anything concerning Palestine and Israel they are concerned about what happened within their borders as far as the corruption.fraud and bribes are concerned.

This is about FRAUD,CORRUPTION and BRIBES

@ Patrick Blackman.. LOLLL !!….can’t find ANYTHING to dispute what I have said , what happens, you take the easy way out.

Typical of someone who was found wanting ,someone who reads and writes but cannot understand what he reads and writes.

Who is being stupid here, when YOU are the FIRST and ONLY STUPID person who say that “This current fiasco is as a result of the Palestine/Israel/FIFA fiasco “….NONSENSE from the top drawer, and where does South Africa,Russia and Qatar fit into all of this ? and what has the USA got to gain by ORCHESTRATING this ? is FIFA a creature of the USA?

Man ,you are INDEED one STRANGE INDIVIDUAL,go and drink some milk and lay down and sleep cause ya talking SH8.

So what does the USA have to gain by this distraction

@harry turnover!!!! “”@ Patrick Blackman. Since you are so well informed, this information about Jack was ONLY exposed THIS YEAR.””
Not really True, there was the case of the World Cup Tickets for the Caribbean and Concacaf, which could only be purchased from a Travel Agency, Owned by Jack Warner,
There is also the case of the Elite Centre, that was funded by FIFA, and now we find out that it was built on Land OWNED by Jack Warner.
and then there was the Manila Envelopes that were handed out to the Conccaf Associations, Barbados included some time before Jack quit FIFA.
Now!!! If anything he did was/can be construed as Illegal, i don’t really know, but some of this had to be done on US Soil for them to be able to do what they are doing.
    JACK is not St.JAck
My problem with this whole issue is that, you can only kill the Serpent if you chop off it’s head, and up to this point, the Serpent is still unscathed.
