Regional cricketer arrested in Dominica

andreWindward Island cricketer Andre Fletcher was arrested at the Douglas Charles Airport in Dominica on Thursday afternoon after 50 rounds of ammunition were found in his possession.

The Grenadian wicketkeeper, who had been in Roseau practising with his team, the Windward Island Volcanoes, was leaving the island when the incident occurred.


Fletcher, who played for the West Indies team in the 2006 U-19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka, is due to appear in court on Friday. (Dominica News Online)
