Barbados Today understands that Kristie Cuffy-Sargeant will be appointed to the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court No.2, Wanda Blair to the Holetown and District ‘E’ Magistrates’ Courts and Wayne Clarke to District ‘A’ Civil Court at St Matthias.

If so, this will mean an even number of male and female magistrates on the bench.

Magistrates Christopher Birch, Douglas Frederick, Graveney Bannister and Ian Weekes will remain in their respective positions at District ‘C’, District ‘A’ No. 1, District ‘A’ Traffic and District ‘D’ Courts.

Chief Magistrate Pamela Beckles will continue at Oistins, Laurie-Ann Smith Bovell at Districts ‘B’ and ‘F’ and Manila Renée at the Juvenile and Coroners Courts.

Acting Magistrate Alliston Seale is expected to return to his substantive post as Principal Crown Counsel in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
