Sheriff rules the hill

V-SS-1st-Skeete-ChandlerRoger Skeete is still the sheriff of this town.

Second position was taken by Jamaicans Jeffrey Panton and co-driver Michael Fennell Jr. in this Ford Focus.

Barbados’ veteran rally star teamed up with Louis Venezia to win yesterday’s LIME King of the Hill event behind the wheel of an impressive Subaru Impreza WRC S12. His elapsed time was 3m 01.54 seconds. Second position was taken by Jamaicans Jeffrey Panton and co-driver Michael Fennell Jr. in a Ford Focus in an elapsed time of +00.05s. Third spot went to England’s Paul Bird and his Welsh co-driver Aled Davies in a Ford Focus WRC08 in a time of +00.49s.

The top ten were completed by France’s Simon Jean-Joseph and Jack Boyere in a Ford Focus; England’s Rob Swann and Welshman Aled Edwards in a Subaru Impreza; Roger Duckworth and Ross Weir of England in a Subaru Impreza; local pair of Josh Read and Mark Jordan in a Toyota Starlet; Roger Hill and Graham Gittens in a Toyota Corolla; Neil Armstrong and Barry Ward in a Toyota Starlet; and Roger Mayers and Sean Corbin in a starlet.

The route yesterday ran from Hangman’s Hill through the Vaucluse Raceway to Lion Castle, St Thomas.

The results of the LIME King of the Hill will be used to seed Sol Rally Barbados 2015 next weekend. Cars which did not compete will be seeded behind the last car in their class, unless safety considerations dictate otherwise.
