Good Shepherd thrash Eagles

Good Shepherd made short shrift of Eagles Academy as action continued in the Bico-sponsored National Sports Council’s Primary Schools Football Tournament today.

Playing at Bagatelle, St Thomas, Tavian Eastmond scored a hat-trick as Good Shepherd trounced Eagles Academy 6-0. Kymani Richardson also scored and the Eagles did not help their cause by conceding an own goal.

The heavy scoring continued when St. Stephen’s took on Sharon Primary and won 4-0 with two goals from Kimani Blackman and one each from Neville Blackman and Chewe Griffith.

In a third game at that venue, Welches Primary defeated St Silas 2-0 thanks to strikes from Jaleel Armstrong and Jalen Phillips.

At Trents, St James, West Terrace defeated St James Primary 4-0 with goals from Tyrese Gonsalves, Antwan Lynch, Raheem Archer and Darian Bailey. In another encounter St. Albans edged  St Matthew’s 2-1 with Joshua Clarke and Revaldo Massiah scoring for the winners and Treshon Gaskin netting for St. Matthew’s.

At Ellerton, St George, Jayden Hunte tormented Hill Top as his beaver-trick led St. John Primary to a 6-0 win. Zion Pollard and Zedan Hayde were the other goal scorers.

While St Judes and Workman’s Primary played to a 0-0 draw, Dibaggio Payne and Rachad Gittens’ goals led Bay Primary to a 2-0 win over Ellerton Primary.

Three games were played at Briar Hall, Christ Church, with St Gabriel’s having the biggest victory. They defeated St Lawrence 5-0 with Ryan Lashley registering a hat-trick and Michael Chandler adding a brace to the scoreline.

Matthew Alleyne, Seth Edwards and Kobe Hutson all scored as St Angela’s beat Wills 3-0, while Jelano Jones’ goal for St Christopher was cancelled out by Rick Kobe Lewis’ for St Bartholomew’s in a 1-1 draw.

Playing at Speightstown, St Peter, Boscobel and Selah Primary drew 1-1, while Aaron Cumberbatch scored for Roland Edwards in their 1-0 triumph over St Lucy Primary.
