Bail granted to four St Lucy men accused of murder

Only one of the five St Lucy men accused of murdering Charley Dume at Nelson Street, The City, on April 26 last year, has not been offered or granted bail.

The five are Andre “Lord Evil” Jackman, 35, of Stroud Bay, Crab HiIl; Ryan Omar Samuel, 34, Shane Hakeem Omar Babb, 23, Rory St Clair Thomas, 27, — all of Grape Hall — and Zavier Renaldo Walkes, 27, of Archer’s Road, Crab Hill.

Earlier this week, Justice Olson Alleyne offered Jackman bail at $200 000 with two sureties. Today, Babb was also offered bail in a similar amount. Both men remain on remand pending the approval of their sureties.

Jackman has also been ordered to surrender his travel documents to the Registrar of the Supreme Court and report daily to a police station before 6 p.m., once he is released.

So far, Walkes and Thomas are already out on $200 000 and $120 000 bail respectively.

Samuels, the last of the five, has not been offered bail.

Wanna and this conspiracy theories….stupse. Whether right or wrong murder accused have been getting bail for the last 10/15 yrs. Why should a police officer doing his duty be any different?

    • KrB May 15, 2015 at 10:35 am

Simply because those in authority are punished more severely than those under authority because they should know better.

I dont have to be a police office to know that an officer once required to act is considered on duty. Take up something and read once in awhile Justice maybe you will actually learn something. Krb well I would fall on the side of they should be given the benefit of the doubt until proven wrong in a court of law as opposed to court of public opinion where often all the facts are not known.
