CARIFTA Spotlight – Kimberley Willoughby

Kimberley Willoughby enjoyed her final year at CARIFTA, walking away with three medals.

The Combermerian is proud of her achievements, as she confesses with a chuckle that she had a love-hate relationship with swimming.

“ I like competition, I love being on the podium especially after I put so much into training sessions. But I don’t like to get up at 4:30 to get here for 5am especially in December when outside its cold.”

Nevertheless, Kimberley who is about to start university credits swimming for teaching her time management and discipline.

Kimberley (left) says she felt good about her performance and the overall performance of the team.

She says this CARIFTA games was special and she will remember the fun, the challenges and the hardwork for some time to come.

“I feel good about the performances and the overall performance of the team. It was a real great one. I am very proud.”
