I was not there, so I cannot comment on the drivers. However it is an irrefutable fact that commercial tyres do not offer good levels of grip, especially on Barbadian wet roads which become quite slippy at the hint of precipitation, much less a large amount of rain, further, these vehicles are not fitted with any passive safety devices.

when you hire the same idiots that used to drive ZR’s..this is what you get. a shiny new uniform doesn’t make you a better driver.

These bus drivers are carefree… All they concern abt is getting money…they always pushy on the road… Stop middle of the road to collect passengers….

Just like the rest of them in d country but at the end of the day some areas are more accident prone than others and down there is a prime example.

many are not really hired as such, they lease the bus by the day from the owner.

From my own experiences of using public transportation while on holidays and not being sure if I would make it to my destination alive. It is surprising people are not killed due to their driving like maniacs. Accidents are regular occurrences with these buses yet nothing seems to be done about it.

NEW LAW REQUIRED! More screening coming for drivers of public service vehicles! These drivers are way to careless. They are involved in accidents way too often.

You don’t have to be speeding for a vehicle to slip on a wet road. If you were not there don’t make stupid assumptions. I witness a mini bus skid across Beckles Road one morning after a few drops of rain and the guy wasn’t speeding. As a matter of fact no one present including the poor driver knew what caused it. The road was clean and the bus tires were in good condition. So stop jumping to conclusions.

Riding on those mini buses are death traps, they get you to your destination on time but God’s mercies protect those people who have to travel by those fast driving crazy men who only interesting to make monies, transport laws ,fines or speeding cameras should begin place.I hope the people who are injured will receive some compensation.hoping that the mini bus company has good insurance to pay those that are Injured.
