It would do well for those who would comment to actually look outside of Barbados. Where I live the price has increased by at least 9 cents in the last month. Since the fall of prices, gas here is up by 24 cents from the lowest price. Maybe Bajans would like a system like in Canada where the oil companies set the gas prices and jack up the price willy nilly, because a camel farted in the Middle East and scared investors or because is a long weekend so the price goes up by 5 to 10 cents just so.

Agreed, but you need to find out what Barbados was doing when the price was falling on the World market since last year around June.
Find out why and when Bajans got a reduction in their oil prices and by how much.
It would also do well for you to realized that IS the reason why Bajans ARE complaining…..THEY ACTUALLY LOOKED OUTSIDE OF BARBADOS and saw what was going on.

With oil prices continuing to fall around the world, what possible justification can the Government be using to impose this increase?????

    • Watchman March 9, 2015 at 10:12 am

“Continuing to fall ” where do you see that Mac 10, there was a low around $45 last November and the price has been increasing since then.
Mr.Turnover, if the price fell later in Bim than other places the fact that the price has been increasing in other places since December (by as much as 24 cents in my city), and Bim is only now realising a 1 cent increase, shows that Bim was late to increase the price also. With regard as to how much, oil dropped by more than 50% but gas did not drop anywhere close to that much for us.
