South Africa crush Windies

South Africa bowled West Indies out for 151 and won by 257 runs in Sydney today.

South Africa piled up 408-5 thanks to AB de Villiers’ 162 off 66 balls before Imran Tahir picked 5-45 as West Indies collapsed to a humiliating defeat at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

In the process, AB de Villiers hit the fastest ever 150 in one-day internationals, condemning the West Indies to their crushing loss.

De Villiers took 64 deliveries to reach 150, beating the previous best, set by Australia’s Shane Watson, by 19 balls.

He finished 162 not out from 66 balls as South Africa posted 408-5, the second-highest total in World Cups.

Tahir took 5-45 as West Indies were 151 all out to equal the heaviest World Cup defeat by runs.

Only last month, De Villiers hit the fastest-ever ODI hundred against the West Indies in Johannesburg, from 31 balls.

In that same innings, South Africa’s captain also set the record for the fastest fifty in ODIs, from 16 balls.

The only ever victory the Windies can amass is the one with the bottom of the barrel team. What’s new

We’ve got India & Scotland left. I do not see us beating India so we could be in real trouble to progress from the group.

      Sorry UAE , not Scotland.

Don’t give up your good night sleep to watch WI . The WICB bad from top down . Some in one (JA) Island called Jarner a “foreigner” and we all talking about WI cricket . I guess they will also call Jackie Opel a “foreigner” who help put SKA on the world market . I always had the idea that we were One People who came on the same ship .
