Set D “Green” House ran away as champions once again with 813 points when Deighton Griffith Secondary held their inter-house sports at the school’s ground at Kingsland, Christ Church today.
Placing second was Set A “Red” House with 763 points, followed by Set B “Blue” House who tallied 758 for third and in fourth place was Set C “Yellow” House with 487 points.
Senior victor ludorum Franco Nando Carter of Green House must be given praise for a good performance in the under-17 boys division. For his total of 65 points Carter won the 400m and shot put, came second in the 200m, discus, and high jump and was third in the 100m and javelin.
The senior victrix ludorum was awarded to Danielle Currency of Yellow House in the under-20 girls’ showdown. She won the 100m, 200m, long jump, high jump, came second in the discus, javelin, shot put and fourth in the 800m for her 76 points.
There was also a junior victor and victrix ludorum. The latter honor went to Shontee Broome of Blue House with 62 points which was accumulated through wins in the 100m, 200m, 400m, and high jump and second place in the 400m, 800m and long jump in the under-15 girls division.
Shabari Lynch of Red House was the overall under-13 champion and junior victor ludorum with 40 points. Lynch won the 400m, 800m and came second in the long jump and third in the 100m.
