Police probing Atlantic Feeds robbery

Police are investigating a robbery at Atlantic Feeds in Belle Estate, St Michael today.

According to police public relations officer Acting Assistant Superintendent David Welch, a man armed with a cutlass entered the establishment around 12:40 p.m. and robbed a cashier of an undisclosed sum of money.

No one was injured.

Police are now appealing to anyone with information that could help them capture the culprit to call police emergency number 211 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS (8477).

Meantime, Welch also disclosed that lawmen were still on the hunt for the man who committed the aggravated burglary at Scotiabank in Black Rock on January 27.

The armed bandit got away with an undisclosed sum of money and escaped on foot towards the nearby Deacons Road.

Lawmen continue to appeal for public assistance in tracking down the robber.
