Two local acts make it into soca finals

Two Barbadian acts have made it to the final of Trinidad’s International Soca Monarch competition.

It was announced last night that Leadpipe and Saddis, with their Crop Over 2014 hit with Ah Feeling, and Fadda Fox Ducking, were successful in advancing from Sunday night’s semifinal.

However, winner of the 2014 Sweet Soca competition Biggie Irie failed to make it with his popular Pankatang.

Following the announcement, Leadpipe and Saddis told Barbados TODAY they were thankful for all the support they had received so far.

“We would like to thank every single person of all demographics who have supported us from the start and continue to do so via all social media, in person, and those who send advice via email or over the phone,” the duo said.

They also offered much thanks to their manager Ingrid Holder for her dedication.

The two artistes who won big at this year’s Barbados Music Awards are now eagerly anticipating the final on February 13, which is dubbed Fantastic Friday.
