She could be a repeat offender. Could be suffering from dementia in some form. Even of hard times. Either way they should have released her and at the most banned her from the store. (if it’s a repeat situation) either way don’t think it should have made the courts. Empathy should have been shown.

Why do the courts drag these cases out??

Cuddare it is wrong to steal but in a case like this maybe it could have been handled differently…like letting her pay back somehow…those things she stole tells a story…

At that age may have just been absent minded, in some countries companies pay dearly for being heavy handed with old people.

Amazed how ppl feel sorry for her but would say the worst if it was a younger person. As far as I know right is right and wrong is wrong. It means that to be a theft u have to be a certain age but if u old as ass… it is ok. Go ahead… steal.. it’s ok gran.. u are right. Smh. The law is the law no matter what age you are. No wonder our society is so messed up. Double standards.

Granny ain’t got nobody to help her but the young strong man could do what he did, walk up the steps and take the people chair, while the top man tell he stay there Nobody can’t touch you” stealing at no level, should not be condone, but why lock up granny and let people money leave for Parris and the other man walk through Carrington village with the old man’s money freely? Corruption corruption-smh.

Thinking maybe desperation was the cause of theft by this older lady? With so many loosing jobs, who knows if anyone in her home is even working. Really would not like to see a 77 year old lady going to jail, how would she survive time in that environment? Very sad.

This is a society of Clever Criminals who should be lock up, but does walk free, them love too cover up for their own, allowing them to continue bathing themselves in sewage, but it always smells, funny that i does only hear the courts saying” peter pay for paul and paul pay for all when it comes too poor people.
We are a hypocritical nation, from the head to the toe, that’s thy the young people are the way they are, because evil has disgusted itself in the form of big up friends. Money is their GOD, your brothers keeper does only sound good, but those words are false like a three dollar bill.
