BT celebrates with St Matthew’s
Barbados TODAY continued its fifth anniversary celebrations with a number of activities, including another school visit.
The team visited the St Matthew’s Primary School in Jackmans, St Michael where Editorial Coordinator Sandy Deane encouraged pupils to be “why” students.
“Always be the best that you can be, always be curious, always find something new to learn, be a “why” person because you learn a lot when you ask why?” Deane said.
The sales team also stopped over at the HIV/AIDS Food Bank to deliver a food hamper.
“Thank you for your generous donation . . . . Nutrition is paramount, especially with our HIV clientele and especially . . . where there is not enough money in the home or means of accessing food or eating healthy . . . so thank you for your contribution and for choosing us,” Stacia Whittaker, the manager of the Food Bank said.
The Diabetes Association of Barbados was also the recipient of a hamper.
Ardean Gaskin, secretary of the committee of management for the Glebe region, said the association was grateful for the donation.
The hampers were donated in association with Pharmacy Sales Caribbean.
Two lucky people also walked away with prizes after answering questions on the Barbados TODAY Facebook page correctly.
Shakera Layne won lunch for two at Sea Fans Restaurants while Ryan Rock got a gift set from Cave Shepherd.
