Shooting victim in stable condition

A 25-year-old St Joseph man is in stable condition at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital following a shooting incident at Joe’s River in the same parish yesterday.

According to police, Shurland Cumberbatch was shot several times in his torso, around 4:15 p.m.

He was rushed to the hospital by ambulance.

It is believed that the shooting arose out of an earlier dispute.

Police are continuing their investigations into the incident.
