Man charged with New Year’s Day murder

Police have arrested and formally charged Renaldo Carter with the death of his cousin Jason Carter on New Year’s Day.

The 1st Avenue Vauxhall, Christ Church resident will appear in the Oistins Magistrates’ Court tomorrow to answer the murder charge.

He has also been charged with unlawful possession of ammunition without a valid permit.

Renaldo and Jason, both 31-years-old, were in a dispute on the morning of January 1, 2015 when the latter was shot in his face.

    He should have taken into consideration his aunt’s condition. I heard from a family member that they were cousins from the onset and the one who died mother was totally dependant on him with her condition.

    The thing is if you have a gun and you get angry enough the first thing you going to do is pulled that gun . remember in our early days when men had fights they would say the same thing man I going kill you but by the time they gone to look for a knife or even a cutlass some body done intervene, but with guns now different cause family members probably ain’t even know that gun is right there. My main point is as long as you got it you going to use it
