DOMINICA-Skerrit again

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has led his Dominica Labour Party (DLP) to a fourth straight term following today’s general elections.
According to preliminary results, the DLP won 15 of the 21 seats at stake.
The Opposition United Workers Party led by Lennox Linton secured six seats.
In the 2009 poll, the DLP won 18 seats to the UWP’s three.

    The DLP won because of: Bribery, illegal voters, chartered planes to bring in diaspora to vote, unfair champaign funds, excessive funds used to bring in foreign artist, outdated electoral list (approx. 200 persons in a constituency but 500+ persons voted) and the list goes on.
