Easy win for Ellerslie

Ellerslie romped to a seven-wicket win over the Barbados Community College (BCC) when the Barbados Cricket Association’s (BCA) Under-19 competition continued today.

Playing at home, after winning the toss and choosing to bat, BCC posted a total of 156 for nine from 35.4 overs.

In response to that target Ellerslie made 158 for three from 34.3 overs.

Opener Kevin Evelyn top scored with 76 not out and Demario Richards finished unbeaten on 37 to see Ellerslie through to victory.

Lee-Germon Gaskin was the pick of BCC bowling attack with two wickets for 40 runs.

Earlier when BCC batted John Sampson top scored with 34 while BCC captain Zachary McCaskie contributed 30.

Pacer Quadre Smith captured three wickets for 24 runs and Kyle Scantlebury took two wickets for 38 runs.

Meanwhile Nicholls Baking Combermere won at home against Daryl Jordan Secondary by 97 runs. Combermere won the toss and posted 247 all out in 39.5 overs and in response Daryl Jordan was limited to 151 for seven in their allotted 40 overs.
