Jamaican man nabbed with cannabis

Police have arrested and charged a 40-year-old Jamaican man with a series of drug offences.

He is  Steve O’Neil Williams, who arrived by air on  November 26  and was interviewed by police after clearing Immigration. He was then referred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he subsequently passed 119 packages containing cannabis. The total weight of the ingested drugs was 2 1/2 lb.

As a result, he has been charged with possession of 2 1/2 lbs. of cannabis; possession with intent to supply and trafficking.

He was due to appear at the Oistins Magistrates Court today.
