Five hurt in collision
Five people were hurt when two Public Service Vehicles (PSVs), a car, a pickup truck and a pedestrian were involved in an accident along Wildey Main Road,
St Michael this morning.
Four passengers in one of the route taxis complained of minor pain to their limbs and were transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulances, while pedestrian Nakita Graham, 27, of River, St Philip, complained of pain to one shoulder and sought private medical attention.
Acting Inspector Richard Boyce, who was on the scene, told Barbados TODAY that initial investigations indicated that one PSV overtook the other, lost control, and struck the car parked in the forecourt of the Rubis gas station. The car was subsequently pushed on to the pickup truck a short distance away.
The PSVs were driven by Dabian Clarke, 40, of Wotton, Christ Church and Federick Gibson, 54, of Lodge Crescent, St Michael; the driver of the car was Delisle Sobers, 34, of Poolers Land, St Philip; and Ryan Dear of Park Road, Bush Hall, St Michael drove the pickup truck.
