Progress in robbery case

Police say they have made a significant breakthrough in their investigations into last week’s robbery outside Scotiabank in Coconut Walk, Hastings, Christ Church.

Public relations officer Assistant Superintendent David Welch told Barbados TODAY this evening that a number of people were being questioned in connection with last Monday’s incident – in which a customer was struck on the head and robbed of an undisclosed sum of money –  as well as several other criminal matters.

However, he said, no charges have been laid.
