Three Super League games tomorrow

The Super League Soccer Tournament continues tomorrow night with three big games at the Speightstown, St Peter playing field.

The night cap game between home based team Speightstown and Urban Vibes of Christ Church will see both teams competing to at least secure a win to qualify for the knockout stage. Both teams have a win and they also lost to Gaza Football Club.

Bajan Elite of the Lime Pelican Tournament, and playing as Elite Black Ops in this competition, will be challenged by No. 1 Beauty Supply of Hillaby. No. 1 Beauty Supply will also need a win to secure a place in the 16-team knockout format. Having drawn a game against St John Constituency Council and lost to Boscobelle Gullyside, they will have to stamp their authority in the match against the younger Elite Black Ops to have a chance to qualify for the knockout stage. This will be Elite Black Ops’ first game in the tournament.

Police constable Jerry Skeete, coach of Elite Black Ops, said his team needed to win the  tournament in order to raise funds to tour St Kitts in January.

The second match of the night will see Silver Sands champions, Gaza Football Club, going all out to win against the Pelicans in order to win their zone. Gaza FC with their hundreds of followers from Christ Church, have played exciting soccer at the Mahaica grounds in Speightstown winning their matches against Speightstown Ballers and hammering Six Men’s 6-0.

The top three teams in each zone, along with the best fourth place teams, will qualify for the 16 team knockout format. The Barbados Soccer Academy schoolboys team have won their zone.
