Two injured during aggravated robbery


An uncle and his nephew are warded at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with non life-threatening injuries after being shot by an armed man at their business place at around 1 p.m today.

Stephen Babb and his nephew, Dwight, were at Babbs Mini-Mart when the robber, dressed in blue overalls, a scarf and wearing shades, entered the building located at Dayrell’s Road, St Michael.

During the incident, Stephen was shot in his right forearm while his nephew received a gun shot injury to his upper left back.

It is not clear if anything was taken.

Police are asking anyone with information to call 211 or Crimestoppers at 1 800 TIPS.
