Back in the classroom

Students and teachers of Ellerton Primary school are back in the classroom.

Classes at the St George School resumed yesterday after the institution closed its doors for three days last week due to an environmental problem.

The students were happy to be back in the classroom with a new ceiling.

Joining the Ministry of Education, the school’s principal Donna Allman also expressed thanks to parents and staff for their patience and understanding during the recent closure.

When Barbados TODAY visited the institution this morning Allman specially thanked parents who assisted with cleaning and final preparations.

“As you can see the students are back after being out for a short while and things are back to normal here at Ellerton. The parents were very good to us, they came in and they helped us and the management of the school is truly grateful for that,” Allman said.
