IMF team here

A team from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), led by Nicole Laframboise, is here this week for a series of meetings.

The team, which last visited the island back in June, has already held meetings with Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler and other Government officials.

The visit, which has been described as “routine”, comes against the backdrop of recent calls for the Freundel Stuart administration to enter into a new structural adjustment arrangement with the Washington-based institution.

However, Government has not given any such indication to date, while it continues to rely on the IMF for technical support in reforming the domestic tax system and in pursuing urgent fiscal consolidation strategies.

Good. HeKnows with the Sink have no choice but to take advice from IMF and do what is best for the citizens of Barbados. I hope the IMF team do their homework and. realise, HeKnows is always Sleeping and is only fully conscious when he receive his salary, three square meals and go abroad to attend the no way conferences. After the all that weight on his suit, it’s back to Nodland.
