St Michael man charged
A St Michael man is due to appear in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court tomorrow after being slapped with four drug-related charges.
Dwayne Omar Roachford of Field Place, Bayville has been charged with possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation of nine kilograms of cannabis.
Police say the 33-year-old went to the Port last week Friday to clear two barrels purportedly containing foodstuff, which had arrived from the United States earlier in the week.
However, on inspection by Customs personnel, the compressed cannabis was found in 12 cans of a food item.
