UPDATE: Victim in road fatality identified

Police say 51-year-old Clement Alexander of West Terrace Gardens, St James was the bicyclist who was killed in a road accident around 8 am at the junction of Pine Road and 5th Avenue Belleville, St Michael.

Alexander was riding his bicycle along Pine Road, when he was involved in a collision with an SUV driven by Marlene Jemmott of Welches, St Thomas.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

This is the 12th road fatality for the year.

    This driver should be arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving, breath tested and put on bail . until the accident is properly investigated.
    The police need to send signals to bajan drivers, you are not just going to walk away from accidents, if you are the person who cause the accident, the families who are suffering from lost or other wise, will be coming after you for compensation.
