Barbados TODAY launches sweepstakes

This Independence, Barbados’ leading online media company, Barbados TODAY, has taken a bold and exciting step to attract a wider audience.

The company’s ’Scribe & Drive sweepstakes will award one lucky winner the prize of a new Honda City motor vehicle with free insurance for one year, fuel and car care accessories.

Running from September 1 to November 29, the sweepstakes are open to anyone signing up for a free subscription to the newspaper at

“We have established ourselves as an innovative force in the media,” said David Williams, senior sales executive at Barbados TODAY.

“The ’Scribe & Drive sweepstakes are a great way for us to celebrate our success in reaching a wide demographic, while also commemorating Independence.”

The grand prize of the 2014 Honda City is being provided by Platinum Motors.

“The intelligent technology and space for five people make this the perfect vehicle for the Barbados TODAY readers,” said Michael Franco, brand manager for Honda Barbados.

“We are very excited to be a part of the ’Scribe & Drive sweepstakes and to be given the opportunity to demonstrate our loyalty to Barbados, especially as the island gears up for Independence celebrations.”

The grand prize will also include free insurance for one year courtesy of CGI, $5000 worth of fuel thanks to Rubis, and $5000 in car care accessories from Automotive Art, putting the total value of the prize at $100,000. The ‘Scribe & Drive sweepstakes have already attracted considerable interest and will continue to be promoted                                                               on all Barbados TODAY platforms, print and electronic, as well as on local radio stations.

    Now this is what I call a win win for me. Barbados Today continue to be my main source of news as i often look to it for reliable facts everything there is a hot news item in circulation, plus the opportunity to win a Honda City, can it possibly get any better..
