Number 8 on Forbes Celebrity List
Rihanna has been ranked number eight on Forbes Celebrity 100 list.
Forbes says the Barbadian singer raked in US$43 million as of June this year and had over 40 shows during the magazine’s scoring period.
Additionally, it said Rihanna is the second most powerful social media user on its list after Justin Bieber.
“Even if you’re not one of her 30 million-plus Twitter followers, it’s hard not miss her recent singles Diamonds and Stay and her ubiquitous Vita Coco ads. And that’s a formula that should keep the cash coming for years,” Forbes stated today.
“She also uses social media better than almost anyone. Her Twitter and Instagram feeds allow her to connect with her fans in a way that feels honest and unfiltered and they love her for it.”
American pop diva Beyoncé is at the number one spot, bringing in an average US$2.4 million per stop during 95 shows.
Forbes estimates that she earned US$115 million between June 1, 2013 and June 1, 2014.
Basketball star Lebron James is number two, followed by Dr Dre, Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, and Jay Z in the sixth spot.
Floyd Mayweather, Rihanna, Katy Perry and Robert Downey Jr round off the Top 10.
